Some good news

Hello friends!



I am extremely happy today.  For as long as I have been on DA I have complained endlessly about the quality of my photos.  It is a shame to have a poor photo where the colours are nowhere near the original.  It's hard to scan things bigger than A4 and I never work with A4.  I used to scan two halves in and then 'glue' them back together in Photoshop; not the most straight-forward thing to do

I've been asking father xmas for a decent camera and it took the old fatty a couple of years to finally get it to me.  Well, the fact that my old automatic went for a swim in a Lithuanian lake also helped the matters.  It worked out just great.  I got me a Nikon D5000!

It took a bit of saving up, a lot of waiting; and at the end when I thought I'd bought it the delivery had to go haywire.  Instead of '3-5 working days' it was almost two weeks (imagine waiting for something you've really been looking forward to).  I waged a galactic war against DHL on several fronts and finally got my camera today!

I have posted a questionnaire regarding a separate photo account.  I would appreciate it if you could please answer and comment in it.

Apart from this, let's see if I remember how to use a proper camera (I used to do photography in my teens).
